I Tried Luxe Korean Under Eye Balm and Here’s My Honest Review After Weeks of Use

By Nora Jul4,2026

I bought the Luxe Korean Under Eye Balm hoping it would help with my tired-looking under-eyes. The ads made it seem like a quick solution for puffiness, dark circles, and fine lines, and I’ll admit I was curious enough to give it a try.

After using it consistently, though, I was left feeling more underwhelmed than impressed.

What Is the Luxe Korean Under Eye Balm?

Luxe Korean Under Eye Balm is marketed as a moisturizing eye treatment inspired by Korean skincare. It’s designed to hydrate the delicate skin under the eyes while helping reduce the appearance of fine lines, puffiness, dark circles, and dryness. Depending on where it’s sold, the ingredient list often includes moisturizing ingredients such as hyaluronic acid, collagen, peptides, botanical extracts, and various emollients.

One thing I noticed while researching is that the product is sold across numerous websites with very similar marketing but very little consistent information about the manufacturer or formulation. That immediately made me more cautious before I even opened the balm.

Why I Bought It

Lately, my under-eyes have been looking more tired than I’d like, especially after long days spent working in front of a screen.

The advertisements promised brighter, smoother-looking skin without expensive treatments, and since applying an eye balm seemed simple enough, I figured it was worth trying. I wasn’t expecting to look ten years younger… I just hoped I’d notice a fresher, more hydrated appearance.

My Experience Using It

The first few applications actually gave me hope. The balm felt smooth going on, and it left the skin under my eyes feeling nicely moisturised. There was a slight temporary glow that made the area look healthier immediately after application, and I genuinely enjoyed how comfortable it felt on my skin.

Unfortunately, that’s where the improvements stopped.

After using it consistently for weeks, I kept looking for the changes that had convinced me to buy it in the first place. My dark circles looked much the same, the fine lines under my eyes hadn’t noticeably softened, and any reduction in puffiness seemed to disappear shortly after application.

The biggest benefit I experienced was hydration, which is something many basic moisturizers can provide at a much lower price.

By the time I reached the end of my trial, I couldn’t honestly say my under-eye area looked noticeably different. The balm made my skin feel nice for a little while, but it never delivered the visible improvements the advertising had led me to expect.

Texture, Feel & Packaging

I’ll happily give the product credit here. The balm has a smooth texture that glides across the skin without feeling greasy or sticky. It absorbed reasonably well and layered nicely under makeup without causing pilling in my experience.

The packaging also looked attractive and felt premium enough to make a good first impression.

Pros & Cons

Pros

  • Hydrates the under-eye area well
  • Smooth, lightweight texture
  • Comfortable to wear under makeup
  • Attractive packaging
  • Easy to apply

Cons

  • I saw little improvement in dark circles
  • Fine lines looked largely unchanged
  • Puffiness reduction was temporary at best
  • Premium price for results that felt fairly ordinary
  • Limited transparency about the brand and clinical testing

Product Claims vs. Reality

The product is advertised as helping with:

  • Dark circles
  • Puffiness
  • Fine lines
  • Wrinkles
  • Hydration
  • Firmer-looking skin

Based on my experience, I think hydration is the one claim that clearly held up. Everything else felt far less convincing.

Temporary moisturization can certainly make fine lines appear slightly softer immediately after application, but that’s very different from actually reducing wrinkles or significantly improving dark circles. I simply didn’t see those kinds of long-term results.

Is It a Scam?

I wouldn’t call the Luxe Korean Under Eye Balm a scam. It is a real skincare product, and it does moisturise the skin around the eyes.

What concerns me more is the marketing. While researching, I noticed that the balm appears on multiple websites with nearly identical descriptions but very little transparent information about the company behind it, independent testing, or clinical evidence supporting the dramatic before-and-after claims.

That doesn’t necessarily mean the product is fake. It does mean I think the advertising promises considerably more than the product is likely to deliver for most people.

Customer Feedback

Customer feedback is surprisingly mixed. Some users say they enjoy how moisturizing the balm feels and appreciate that it makes the under-eye area look smoother immediately after application.

Others, however, report seeing little to no improvement in dark circles, puffiness, or fine lines even after several weeks of consistent use. A recurring theme in independent discussions is that the balm functions more like a basic moisturizer than a treatment capable of producing dramatic cosmetic changes.

That matched my own experience almost perfectly.

Alternatives to Consider

  • RoC Retinol Correxion Eye Cream
  • CeraVe Eye Repair Cream
  • Beauty of Joseon Revive Eye Serum
  • The Ordinary Multi-Peptide Eye Serum

Conclusion — Would I Recommend It?

Probably not. If all you’re looking for is a moisturising eye balm, this product does that reasonably well.

But that’s also why I struggled to justify the price. I bought it expecting visible improvements in my under-eyes, and after weeks of consistent use, hydration was the only benefit I could confidently point to.

For me, it ended up feeling like a perfectly decent moisturiser wrapped in marketing that promised much bigger transformations than it actually delivered.
