I Bought SerlinoLab Night Cream for My Husband — Here’s Our Honest Review

By Nora Aug19,2026

My husband isn’t particularly interested in complicated skincare routines, so when I found a men’s night cream with overwhelmingly positive reviews, I thought it might be an easy way to get him to start taking better care of his skin. The claims sounded impressive, and the reviews were convincing enough that I decided to give it a shot for him.

Unfortunately, the actual experience was very different from what I expected.

Key Takeaways

  • I bought it for my husband because of the overwhelmingly positive reviews.
  • The cream was much greasier than I expected.
  • The container arrived looking only about half full.
  • That made the price feel particularly excessive.
  • I was willing to overlook the cost if it actually worked.
  • Instead, my husband developed a significant acne breakout.
  • We stopped using it before we could properly determine whether it improved his skin.
  • The breakout was substantial enough that I didn’t feel comfortable continuing just to see whether the anti-aging claims eventually materialized.

What Is SerlinoLab Night Face Cream?

SerlinoLab Night Face Cream is an anti-ageing moisturiser marketed specifically for men. The formula contains ingredients including retinyl palmitate, sodium hyaluronate, olive-derived ingredients, vitamin E, vitamin C derivatives, aloe, and other moisturising ingredients. The company markets it for concerns including wrinkles, sagging skin, and tired-looking skin.

The brand currently describes the cream as a nightly moisturiser and says one bottle should last roughly a month with daily use.

Why I Bought It

The reviews were honestly the biggest reason I bought it. There were so many positive comments about how much better people’s skin looked after using it that I thought it would be worth trying on my husband. I wasn’t expecting him to suddenly look ten years younger, but I did expect the cream to at least leave his skin looking and feeling better.

I was also willing to overlook the relatively high price if it actually delivered noticeable results.

My Experience Using SerlinoLab Night Face Cream

The first thing that bothered me was the amount of product in the container. When it arrived, it looked like it was only about half full, which immediately made the price feel ridiculous. It was already an expensive-looking purchase, and seeing that much empty space in the container made me feel like I was paying a premium for considerably less product than I expected.

I almost decided that was enough to put me off the cream, but I figured that if it actually worked for my husband, I’d eventually stop caring about the price.

Unfortunately, the cream itself wasn’t particularly impressive either. It was far too greasy for what I expected from a facial moisturizer. My husband could feel the heaviness on his skin, and it didn’t have that comfortable, absorbed feeling I would expect from something intended to be used every night.

Still, we were willing to give it a chance because the whole reason I bought it was to see whether the results justified the inconvenience and cost.

That’s where things really went wrong.

After using it, my husband developed a significant acne breakout. I’m not talking about one or two random spots that could easily be dismissed as a normal fluctuation in his skin. The breakout was so bad that continuing to use the cream just to see whether the anti-ageing benefits eventually appeared didn’t make sense to us.

At that point, we stopped. And that’s why I can’t honestly tell you that the cream didn’t work for its intended purpose. We simply couldn’t use it long enough to find out.

Could it have eventually improved his skin? Maybe. But we weren’t going to keep applying a product that was clearly causing a problem just to give it enough time to prove itself.

The acne situation was far beyond something I was comfortable dismissing as ordinary “skin purging,” especially when the product wasn’t giving us any obvious benefit that would make putting up with it worthwhile.

So the final impression was pretty disappointing. The cream was expensive, the container felt underfilled, the texture was too greasy, and the one thing we could clearly see happening to his skin was something we absolutely didn’t want.

What I Liked

  • The positive reviews initially made me feel confident about trying it.
  • It was designed as a simple one-step night cream.
  • My husband could have continued using it as a basic moisturizer if his skin had tolerated it.

What I Didn’t Like

  • The cream was much too greasy.
  • The container arrived looking only about half full.
  • The price felt particularly high considering how much product appeared to be inside.
  • My husband developed a significant acne breakout.
  • We had to stop using it before determining whether the anti-aging claims were actually true for him.

Reality vs. Claims

Claim: Helps improve the appearance of wrinkles and aging skin.

Our experience: We didn’t use it long enough to determine whether it actually did this. The acne breakout forced us to stop before we could fairly assess the long-term results.

Claim: Provides comfortable overnight hydration.

Our experience: My husband found it too greasy and heavy, so this wasn’t the comfortable moisturizing experience we were hoping for.

Claim: Suitable for different skin types.

Our experience: Whatever the experience may be for other people, it clearly wasn’t a good match for my husband’s skin. The breakout was enough for us to discontinue it.

Is It Worth the Price?

For us, absolutely not. The price might have been easier to swallow if we had seen a noticeable improvement in his skin. Even the half-full container would have been something I could have overlooked if the cream had genuinely impressed us.

Instead, we ended up with an expensive moisturizer that felt too greasy and caused a breakout severe enough that we couldn’t continue using it.

That’s a pretty poor trade-off.

Who I Think Might Like It

I don’t have enough positive experience with this particular cream to give it a strong recommendation. The only thing I can say is that my husband was able to use it as a moisturiser initially, but the acne made continuing impossible.

Alternatives

  • CeraVe Skin Renewing Night Cream
  • Olay Regenerist Retinol 24 Night Moisturizer
  • La Roche-Posay Toleriane Double Repair Face Moisturizer
  • Neutrogena Rapid Wrinkle Repair Regenerating Cream

Conclusion

I bought SerlinoLab Night Face Cream because the reviews made it look like a product that was worth taking a chance on. I was prepared to overlook the high price, and I was even prepared to overlook the fact that the container arrived looking only about half full if my husband ended up loving the results.

Unfortunately, none of that happened. The cream was too greasy, and my husband developed a significant acne breakout after using it. That was enough for us to stop, so we never got the opportunity to use it long enough to determine whether it actually delivered the anti-aging results it promises.

And that’s important because I don’t want to claim that it simply “didn’t work.” We genuinely don’t know whether it would have worked eventually because his skin gave us a pretty good reason to stop using it first.

What I do know is that the experience wasn’t good enough to justify the price. I wasn’t impressed with the texture, I wasn’t happy with the amount of product in the container, and the breakout completely overshadowed any potential skincare benefits.

Would I buy it again?

No. There are too many things about the experience that I didn’t like, and I wouldn’t put my husband through another breakout just to find out whether the long-term claims eventually came true.

Would I recommend it?

No, not based on our experience. The overwhelmingly positive reviews were what convinced me to buy it in the first place, but our experience was disappointing enough that I wouldn’t make the same recommendation to someone else.
