The Funfany Shirem Cooling Ace is advertised as a sleek, bladeless mini air cooler that gives you 12 hours of chill with just a little water and a USB cable. It’s supposed to be the perfect personal cooling unit, quiet, portable, and efficient. But after actually using it? I feel like I’ve fallen for another overpriced Instagram gimmick.
In this review, I’ll share my honest experience using the Shirem Cooling Ace, what worked (barely), and why I regret buying it.

What is the Funfany Shirem Cooling Ace?
The Shirem Cooling Ace is advertised as a bladeless mini AC fan that mists cool air while taking up minimal space. It has a refillable water tank, three fan speeds, a USB power source, and promises up to 12 hours of cooling. Sounds very amazing until you realize almost none of that holds up in real life.
My Personal Experience Using the Shirem Cooling Ace
I bought the Shirem Cooling Ace out of heat-induced desperation, thinking it might actually help while I worked at my desk. When it arrived, I was immediately underwhelmed. It felt light and plasticky, like something you’d win at a toy store.
I followed the setup instructions, filled the tank with cold water, plugged it in, and sat in front of it, hopeful. At first, the air was cool-is but the moment I leaned back or turned my head, it was like the thing stopped existing.
The mist function made a tiny difference, but that required refilling the water tank constantly. And about that “12-hour” runtime? Not even close. I got maybe 3–4 hours before it needed a top-up. Moreso, it started making a weird rattling noise by day three.
This thing is basically a glorified toy fan. Definitely not what I needed in 35°C heat.
Pros
- Cute design
- Safe bladeless fan
- USB-powered
- Easy to carry
What I HATED About the Shirem Cooling Ace
- Weak airflow — you have to sit right in front of it
- Ridiculously small water tank
- Nowhere near 12 hours of use
- Loud after a few uses
- Doesn’t cool a room, just your face
- Cheap build for a premium price
Features
- Bladeless fan design
- Built-in water tank for misting
- USB plug-in
- 3 fan speeds
- Compact and portable
- Claimed 12-hour battery life
How Much is it Sold?
The Shirem Cooling Ace sells for around $70 online. I got mine from Funfany’s official website, but honestly, I wish I hadn’t.
Is it Worth It?
Absolutely not. For the price, I expected some real cooling. Instead, I got a weak desk fan that barely worked and needed constant refills. If you’re expecting anything more than a gentle breeze while sitting two inches away, you’ll be disappointed.
Alternatives
If you’re looking for a real cooling solution, skip the gimmicks and try:
- Evapolar evaCHILL
- Honeywell HTF090B Turbo on the Go Personal Fan
- Jisulife Handheld Mini Fan (FA35 Series)
Conclusion
The Funfany Shirem Cooling Ace is one of those products that looks great in ads but falls apart in reality. It’s weak, impractical, and overpriced. The “cooling” effect is barely noticeable unless you’re directly in front of it and even then, it’s more of a suggestion than a solution.
Would I repurchase? Not a chance. I’d rather sweat than waste money on this again.
