I Bought the Getezwell Remedy Massage System – Here’s How It Actually Feels to Use (Review)

By Nora Jun3,2025

I’m a sucker for wellness gadgets, especially the kind that promise relief without much effort. So when I saw the Getezwell Remedy Massage System popping up in ads with claims of full-body relaxation, pain relief, and heat therapy, I was tempted. Between working long hours at a desk and occasional tension headaches, I figured it might be worth trying. But as with most things online, the real experience didn’t exactly match the hype.

What It Is

The Getezwell (sometimes listed as eZwell) Remedy Massage System is a foldable massage mat designed for full-body use. It claims to combine Shiatsu-style massage, vibration therapy, and infrared heat to relieve stress, improve circulation, and help with aches and stiffness. The product is marketed as a home alternative to spa treatments and physical therapy sessions, promising relief at the press of a button.

Why I Tried It

I’d been dealing with persistent shoulder and upper back tension, mostly from poor posture and long hours of laptop use. The idea of getting relief without needing to move much was appealing. I’d seen a few similar mats before but the Getezwell version looked sleeker and claimed to be more advanced. Plus, it was being pushed hard as a “therapy-grade” experience, so I figured I’d give it a shot and see if it lived up to the promise.

My Experience

The mat arrived quickly and looked pretty decent, padded, foldable, and with a remote control that made it feel more high-end than basic knockoffs. I laid it out on my bed and gave it a go, expecting a relaxing, gentle massage. Instead, the neck rollers went in hard. They didn’t feel therapeutic, more like stiff plastic trying to dig into the base of my skull. I had to add a towel under my head to even make it usable.

The vibration function felt weak, especially on the legs and mid-back. It gave a bit of a buzz, but not enough to feel like it was actually doing much. The heat, though, was a plus. It was soothing and seemed to help with stiffness, particularly in my lower back after long workdays.

Over time, I realized this mat works best as a light relaxation tool rather than a deep-tissue massage alternative. I found myself using it more for the heat setting than anything else, maybe while watching TV or winding down before bed. But I still avoid the neck massage feature entirely, it’s just too uncomfortable for me.

Pros

  • Easy to fold and store
  • Heat setting is actually effective
  • Doesn’t take up much space
  • Fairly durable build

Cons

  • Neck rollers are too intense
  • Weak vibration therapy
  • Not truly “full-body” unless you reposition yourself often
  • Comfort depends heavily on what surface you place it on

Is It a Scam?

No, the Getezwell Massage Mat is a legitimate product, sold by known outlets like High Street TV and eBay UK. However, the effectiveness is overstated. It doesn’t deliver a true massage experience and many users (myself included) found the intensity either too much or not enough depending on the body part.

Where to Buy & Price

  • HighStreetTV.ie, eBay UK (via High Street TV) and Amazon Belgium. Price varies but typically falls within the $180-200 range.

Alternatives

  • Snailax Memory Foam Massage Mat
  • Comfier Full Body Massage Mat
  • RENPHO Shiatsu Neck & Back Massager
  • HoMedics Stretch Mat

Conclusion: Would I Recommend It?

Honestly? Not really. If you’re after heat therapy and light relaxation, it might work—as long as you manage your expectations. But for true massage relief, this isn’t it. It’s more of a feel-good gadget than a therapeutic tool. Mine now lives in the back of my closet, and if I had to do it again, I’d probably put that money toward a proper massage session or a higher-end massager with better-targeted functionality.
