I bought the CERAMAX PRO expecting it to become my “I’ll probably use this once in a while” appliance. Instead, it somehow became the thing I reached for whenever I didn’t feel like using the stove.
Ramen? CERAMAX. Boiled eggs? CERAMAX. Soup? CERAMAX. At some point, I realized this little pot had quietly earned permanent counter space.

What is the CERAMAX PRO Electric Hot Pot?
The CERAMAX PRO is a compact electric hot pot with a ceramic nonstick interior and a steamer attachment. Depending on the model, capacities range from around 1.5 to 2.5 litres, making it ideal for dorm rooms, RVs, offices, and small kitchens. It can boil, steam, sauté, fry, and even handle simple one-pot meals.
Why I Bought It
I wanted something simple. Not another giant appliance with twenty buttons I’ll never use. I just wanted something convenient for quick meals without dirtying multiple pots and pans.
The fact that it came with a steamer basket was what really sold me.
My Experience Using It
The first thing I noticed was how quickly I started using it for everything. What began as an occasional ramen pot somehow turned into my egg cooker, soup pot, pasta pot, and lazy-night dinner solution.
For simple meals, it’s fantastic. I could boil noodles while steaming dumplings on top. I made oatmeal in it. I cooked rice. I even used it for hot pot nights when I didn’t feel like dragging out larger cookware.

The ceramic interior was probably my favourite feature. Cleanup was ridiculously easy. Most of the time, a quick wipe was enough, which made me far more likely to use it regularly.
But it definitely has limitations. If you’re expecting full stovetop performance, you’ll probably be disappointed. This thing is designed for convenience, not power.
Large family meals are out of the question. And while it heats fairly quickly, it doesn’t have the intense heat you’d get from a gas burner. Some dishes simply take longer.
I also learned very quickly that capacity disappears faster than you think. A “2-litre” pot sounds roomy until you start adding noodles, broth, vegetables, and whatever else looks good in the fridge.
Suddenly, you’re negotiating with physics.
Build Quality & Feel
For a relatively inexpensive appliance, I thought it felt surprisingly nice. The ceramic coating feels smooth, the lid fits well, and the overall design doesn’t scream “cheap dorm appliance.”
It’s lightweight enough to move around easily but doesn’t feel flimsy.

Product Claims vs. Reality
For once, I think the marketing is mostly fair. It really can replace multiple small cooking tasks.
It really is great for dorm rooms and small spaces. And it really does make cleanup easier. The only thing I’d caution people about is expecting it to replace an entire kitchen.
It won’t. But that was never really its job.
Is It a Scam?
No. The CERAMAX PRO does exactly what I expected it to do. If anything, I ended up using it more than I originally thought I would.
How to Use
I found this worked best when I embraced what it is. This isn’t a replacement for a full kitchen. It’s a convenience appliance.
Once I stopped expecting it to do everything, I enjoyed it much more.

Conclusion — Would I Recommend It?
Absolutely. Not because it’s revolutionary. Not because it cooks better than a stove. But because it makes everyday cooking easier. And honestly, those are usually the products that stick around the longest. The CERAMAX PRO isn’t flashy. It’s just useful.
And sometimes that’s enough.
